Ecumen Bethany seeks a Trained Medical Aide (TMA) to join its team. Ecumen Bethany consists of 159 independent living and assisted living rental apartment homes, as well as 23 suites for guests receiving short term rehabilitation services, 60 suites for long term nursing care residents and is located in Alexandria, Minnesota. The Trained Medical Aide (TMA) is responsible for administering medications to residents as ordered under the direction of the physician, the nurse supervisor and the Clinical Director. Specific responsibilities include:Follow the policies and procedures of the facility governing the administration of medication to residents.Accurately and safely prepare, administer and document medications in accordance with the policies, procedures and requirements of the state.Monitors and observes resident care and reports adverse reactions or conditions to the nurse.Note and report errors in the administration of medications immediately.Accurately measure, record and report the vital signs of residents.Reports any resident concerns to the Clinical Supervisor.Other duties as assigned.Responsibilities for all Ecumen Positions: 1. Champions initiatives that drive increased customer satisfaction.This position requires a person who is a Nursing Assistant/ Registered with six months or 1000 hours of experience as a NA/R. Successful completion of a state approved program in Medication Administration for unlicensed personnel is required. This individual must also posses a valid Minnesota license.
