Nortech is currently hiring for the following position: Part Time : Human Resources Assistant (Merrifield, MN) (All applicants must be US Citizen or US persons due to ITAR regulation) The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for diverse assignments including acting as a liaison between the Human Resources Department and other departments within the organization, assists with onsite support of pre:employment processes, new hire orientation, employee services, and maintenance of HR systems and records retention to ensure compliance and consistency. Essential Functions: Maintains and administers the Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and internal systems in relation to Human Resources. Processes payroll or provides backup to payroll according to established procedures. Serving as a point of contact with benefit vendors/administrators Conducts New Hire Orientations providing general information about the organization and benefits, including eligibility and enrollment procedures. Participates in recruiting efforts which may include attending career fairs, workshops and/or community activities Administrates pre:employment processes including interviews, scheduling, drug testing and offer letters. Prepares personnel files and maintains filing of personnel paperwork. Assists with training grants application process. Supports management with administration requirements for presentations and meetings. Assists Human Resources Department with the development of internal processes (IPA?s). Assists and supports employee events and activities. Assists with safety programs. Qualifications: AssociateA?s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two:year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
