Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Perform site visits and consult with clients to ascertain existing operations and their expansion goals. Analyze and recommend wastewater treatment methods. Provide feedlot permitting assistance and assist in preparing local, county and state permit applications. Prepare cost estimates and proposals for projects. Track project schedules and budgets. Prepare drawings, documents, details, schedules and specifications for projects that include stormwater run-off collection networks, animal housing structures and animal waste storage facilities. Complete engineering plan sets for various ag-related projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D. Conduct construction inspections of engineering and construction practices. Assist landowners in developing conservation plans in preparation of enrollment and participation in NRCS and/or Department of Agriculture Programs. Work closely with other company departments preparing complete permit applications, construction plans and specifications and/or design reports for entrance into NRCS programs. Provide guidance and quality assurance services on engineering practices in support of conservation planning programs. Utilizes and provides guidance on computer based tools for engineering design and interpretation purposes. Maintain relationships with local, county and state agency staff. Represent clients at hearings and public meetings as well as private meetings with agency staff. Obtain and maintain memberships with professional and animal production organizations and represent Anez Consulting at meetings, seminars and conventions.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Civil, Agricultural and/or Biosystems Engineering. Registered Professional Engineers (PE) License. A minimum of 3 years experience in a PE capacity. 5+ years is preferred. Specialized experience applying engineering and natural resource conservation principles, techniques, methods and practices to assist landowners in developing conservation plans is preferred. Certification as a Technical Service Provider (TSP) or the ability to be certified within 12 months of employment. Familiarity with state feedlot and NPDES permitting procedures. Experience designing projects and completing plan sets with AutoCAD Civil 3D is required. Experience/familiarity with local, state and federal government permitting processes. Experience or interest in farming and/or livestock production and general knowledge of farming practices. Strong communication, report writing, organization, analytical and interpersonal skills. Must have a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and standard engineering programs. Must be self-directed and work independently with minimal supervision. Must have a demonstrated track record of successful past employment. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record.
